This vestment was my second vestment purchase from the Ekklesia Store, and I honestly had a bit of doubt when I ordered this brocade pattern, which is unique and different with its combination of maroon, black, and gold. I did request that they use a more burgundy and gold trim, as you will see on a similar deacon vestment set, than the one pictured above. When my vestment arrived, though, all doubts were gone as this is an exquisite brocade that draws the eye with its unique colors, pattern, and material quality. Not to mention the quality tailoring. In my tradition, we lean more towards wearing burgundy than purple during Great Lent, and black is not as common as in other traditions. This vestment blends through these two colors so well and makes a perfect vestment for weekdays during Great Lent, particularly for Holy Week.
